Hi there!
Sacrimony has just 7 days left on Kickstarter and we still need over $1000 to go in order to get funded. It's improbable, but not impossible and I can forsee myself getting no sleep for the next 7 days as things go down to the last few hours.
If you're still sitting on the fence about backing, I'm here to tell you why readers love Sacrimony and why you should back Sacrimony before time runs out.

1) Do you like fantasy stories but wish that they took place in a setting that doesn't feel like another fictional version of Medieval Europe? Sacrimony has that!

You won't be getting any dark muddy brown/grey/green "fantasy" color schemes here. Look at how bright and shiny it is! Architecture also isn't limited to standard Medieval European architecture so you're going to get lots of different types of cool structures to look at.

2) Do you specifically want a fantasy story that has queer representation but doesn't revolve around QuEeR tRaUmA!? Sacrimony has that!
I love queer stories and queer characters BUT I hate seeing queer trauma porn. In Sacrimony, characters live their lives and go about their day being queer and their arcs aren't centered around "The Queer Struggle and How Much It Sucks."
Queer characters also aren't reduced to cheap novelties for "representation points" nor are they portrayed as sexual predators who grab and grope at every turn. They're just... normal people, just like real queer folks!
3) Do you vindictively want a fantasy story where POC exist because white people keep telling you they believe in dragons and wizards shooting lightning from their asses, but don't believe that POC existed in "fantasy times"? Most of Sacrimony's main cast are POCs!
I can't stand when POCs are excluded from fantasy stories because people believe that "That's just the way things were back then!" It's such an ignorant thing to say, since historically, there were plenty of POCs in Medieval Europe. My POC characters are very front and center and there's nothing the racists can do about it. Mwahahahahah!!
So if you want to piss off the racists, back Sacrimony on Kickstarter!
4) Do you want a fantasy story that doesn't read like someone's D&D campaign? Not that there's anything wrong with D&D but if you're looking for a story about dysfunctional families and character relationships instead of "fighting bad guys and saving the world" Sacrimony has that!
Sacrimony is more of a character driven drama than anything else and it just happens to be set in a fantasy world. What you're getting is a 'human' story about familial love, friendship, a bit of romance, found family and overcoming hardships. These characters feel like real people as opposed to being cardboard cutouts of heroes and villains.

5) Do you like Saga? Because a lot of people have told me that Sacrimony feels a lot like Saga but if it was a fantasy story and not in space and if the parents fucking hated each other!
Saga also deals with a massive setting but really focuses in on the characters and the struggles they go through just trying to live their lives. It's also a story about love, family, friendship and all that good stuff and not so much of "we have to do cool flip kicks to stop the bad guys!" I've always been drawn towards stories that feel more 'human' than the classic 'good vs evil' type stories and that's reflected in Sacrimony.
I wrote the kind of story that I would want to read.
6) Are you the kind of person that loves getting lost in a story's expansive world and want to know more about the history/mythology/lore of that world? Sacrimony has a shit ton of world-building and my audio commentaries give a deeper look into the world!
I've been working for years to try and make the world of Sacrimony feel lived-in and authentic. I've made up my own locations, character races, religions, cultures, history, etc and it makes the story feel fresh and unique. You're not getting a photocopied Tolkien-eque tale of elves and dwarves and orcs and all that. You're getting something that feels new.
7) Are you into the concept that everyone is morally grey and some good people will do terrible things and some bad people are actually capable of doing good things? Sacrimony has that sort of complexity!
As I've mentioned before, I'm not into tales of good vs evil because I think people are much more than a set of generalized alignment labels. Sacrimony shows that under the right circumstances, good people will do bad things and bad people will do good things in order to get by. Everyone is some sort of large swatch of grey, once again, just like real people!
8) Do you pick up comics because you like the character designs? Sacrimony is full of very cool character designs and there's plenty more where that came from!
One of the highlights (and also one of my favorite parts) of Sacrimony is designing cool outfits/armor/uniforms and costumes for the characters. I love creating memorable designs that say a lot about a character's personality.

9) On a more personal note, this is a story that I've wanted to bring to life since I was 12 (over 25 years ago) and it would be swell if you helped me continue this tale!

I'm entirely self taught. I do all of the art/writing/marketing/Kickstarter campaign running/shipping for Sacrimony. I've never been to art or writing school and I've been wanting to make this story a thing since I was just a wee tween. I've put a good 2/3 of my life and creative dreams on hold working crappy minimum wage jobs and dead end internships to get by, all the while dreaming of publishing Sacrimony and getting it out into the world.
Now I've got that chance and the only thing separating us from having book 4 out into the world is 7 days and $1026.
10) Okay I ran out of reasons, so here is a picture of my cat.
He is a very good snuggly cat that one day walked into my house and decided to live there. Who am I to say no to this beautiful creature? His name is Muffin and he's allergic to everything.
Look at those lil white mittens!
If you've read through this whole thing, thank you so much.
If you've already backed the campaign, thank you!
If you're planning on backing the campaign. but haven't done so yet, there's just 8 days left!

Hey there! I know I should be going on and on about how I'm so excited that Sacrimony #6 is going live next week and I totally am excited but I wanted to take a moment to talk about something particularly special to me as it's still fresh in my head. Last weekend, my bestie and I went to the Met Museum to check out Vincent Van Gogh's Cypresses. I knew it was going to be depressing and resonate with me on a lot of levels, but I didn't realize how hard it would actually hit me. Van Gogh has...
Hi there! I know that I'm in the process of fulfilling Sacrimony #5, but I'm the kind of person who likes planning a few steps ahead. It's the only way I can stay on track, especially with a long-term project that consumes most of my time. A few folks have probably heard me talking about this already, but very early next year, I'll be compiling Sacrimony #1-5 into a trade paperback. This is very exciting for me, as Sacrimony was always meant to be more of a 'graphic novel' type story than...
Hey there! Happy Friday and I hope those who celebrated Thanksgiving had a wonderful Thanksgiving. And if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, then I hope you had a nice, restful day. I honestly wanted to write something more meaningful today, but my brain is officially out of juice. Dead. Kaput. Brain melt. A lot has been going on behind the scenes while I've been running the Sacrimony #5 Kickstarter campaign and things have been super hectic. My cousins visited for a good 2 weeks and we took a...
